KOLKATA: Passengers should be made to feel that they are welcome, Railway Board chairman Arunendra Kumar told senior officials of Eastern, South Eastern and Metro Railways in Kolkata on Friday. The Indian Railways has demanded additional funds from the Centre and there will be adequate allocation for the ongoing Metro Railway projects in Kolkata, he said. "The period for the Interim Budget placed by the previous government will come to an end on July 21 and then a full-fledged railway budget will be placed with all announcements," Kumar said.
This is not simple process and we will require assistance from all agencies."
